GIGE VISION CAMERA
The MER3 UV camera is part of the UV GigE vision camera series, that includes PoE capability. GigE is a commonly used standard for machine vision applications. It is typically used when a cable length of more than 5 meters is required. This Mercury 3 model is interesting for you when your application complies with the following conditions:- Industrial UV camera (200–400 nm range)
- Maximum cable length up to 100 meters
- Inexpensive and easy installation of cables
- Only one cable is required to connect the device
- 2.5Gbit/s maximum transfer data rate
- Extremely compact 29x29mm camera
UV GigE Industrial camera
The UV GigE Vision camera MER3-810-36G3M-P-UV is equipped with the Sony "Pregius S" CMOS sensor specially designed for the wavelength between 200nm to 400nm. It has a 8MP resolution and is capable of 2.5Gbits/s at maximum transfer data rate. The IMX487 image sensor can capture UV images and features Pregius S™ technology for smooth global shutter operation and fast performance. It's useful for various tasks such as semiconductor inspection, defect detection, discharge inspection, recycling, printing, and life sciences.Besides using glass with high UV transmittance for the upper section of the image sensor and the pixel on-chip lenses, a specialized structure for UV is utilized around the photodiode. This design ensures a high UV sensitivity while maintaining quality imaging with minimal noise. Moreover, the pixels capture UV light efficiently. This leads to high a light sensitivity and a small pixel size of 2.74 µm, enabling 8 megapixels resolution even on a compact 2/3” sensor format.
MERCURY 3.0 series
The MERCURY USB3.0 camera series (MER-U3) features DAHENG IMAGING's fully developed area scan industrial digital cameras. Available in a range of resolution and frame rate, featuring CMOS sensors from major manufactures. The MERCURY series finds use in a wide range of machine vision applications, such as industrial quality control, medical diagnostics, scientific studies, educational demonstrations, and security surveillance. What is UV?
See outside the visible spectrum with UV cameras. This innovative technology unlocks a new dimension in machine vision, allowing you to inspect objects from a whole new perspective in the other range of the light spectrum. The diagram below illustrates the power of ultraviolet (UV) light. Unlike visible light, UV light has shorter wavelengths (between 10 and 400 nanometers). Our IMX487 sensor capitalizes on this, operating within the 200-400 nm range. This allows industrial applications to see what was previously invisible – a whole new world revealed through the power of the UV wavelength.
INDUSTRIAL CAMERA WITH POE
Power over Ethernet (PoE) for GigE is designed to provide both power and data communication over a standard Ethernet cable. This reduces the amount of cables and installation time in applications that do not require a hardware trigger or I/O. When I/O is required in an application we advise to supply power to the camera via an I/O connector. The camera’s power usage is larger when using Power over Ethernet than via the I/O connector. In addition, the camera will generate extra heat when regulating the power transmitted via PoE to required values. The advantage of PoE is that installation is easier because fewer cables are required.MTBF, WARRANTY & PRODUCT LIFE CYCLE
Each year, Daheng Imaging produces more than 100.000 industrial cameras according to the highest quality standards. The mean time between failure (MTBF) is more than 400.000 hours (45 years, 24/7). The industrial cameras are certified by TÜV Rheinland and have a 3 year warranty. After market introduction, every camera model is available for at least 7 years. Most cameras have a much longer product life cycle. For more information about our product life cycle management, check this article.UV Lenses
When you combine cameras equipped with UV image sensors together with UV lighting and UV lenses, the system provides special visual information which ordinary cameras for visible light imaging cannot. You can simply pair our UV GigE vision camera with our UV lenses.for a complete UV vision setup/system.
