EMPLOYEE STORY – SEBASTIAN HAASE

Employee Story – Sebastian HaaseSebastian is the newest addition to our team in our office in Aachen (DE), he joined GeT Cameras in February 2023. In the past, Sebastian has a technical background as a service technician and was also team leader of the Customer Support team. As a Sales Engineer at GeT Cameras, he has the ability to combine both technical support and sales. His colleagues describe him as pensive; he is helpful, professional and passionate.

WHY GET CAMERAS?

We asked Sebastian why he switched from his previous job to working at GeT Cameras. He answered: “Firstly, I have quite some experience working as a service technician. It was a great fit, however at times it was hard to combine this job with my family life. Working as a technician required business trips and working overtime. With a daughter of 3 years old, I was looking for something new which made combining my professional & personal life easier.

GeT Cameras gave me the opportunity to combine family life with a 40-hours job”. 

Another reason for him to start at GeT Cameras was the combination of his technical background together with the customer support that he can now offer to our customers. As a Sales Engineer he is not only helping customers with selecting the right camera set-up, but also giving them technical support when necessary. Sebastian has already worked in the machine vision industry, which made him certainly no stranger to industrial cameras.

In addition, Sebastian immediately felt welcome within the company. He confirms that by saying: “GeT Cameras is a warm, ambitious and young company. All offices worldwide are connected by an uncomplicated corporate spirit. Although my colleagues are spread all over the world, everyone made me feel welcome from the start.

WHAT IS SEBASTIAN MOST PROUD OF?

With such a strong technical background, Sebastian has quickly grown into his role in the Technical Support team. This aspect of his role comes naturally to him, he is now facing a new challenge in the role as an account manager. New to the world of sales this has required some extra effort, however he has the advantage of his technical background allowing him to offer the best advice when helping customers find the right machine vision hardware for their application. This growth and development has definitely made him most proud of himself.

WHAT DOES THE FUTURE HOLD FOR YOU?

“GeT Cameras is a company in a fast growing market with a strong increasing amount of new customers. In the future, I expect to combine helping more businesses selecting the right hardware while offering them technical support. It continues to be an exciting challenge for me finding a good balance to combine both. 
As well, the team is still growing and we are still looking for new colleagues in Aachen. I look forward to welcoming them to our great team and support them where I can
