WHAT IS THE DISTINCTION BETWEEN USB2 AND USB3?
USB2.0 is an older version of the USB standard than USB3. With a maximum bandwidth of 400 gigabytes per second, USB3 is an ideal interface for high-resolution and high-speed cameras. This is ten times the speed of USB2 and four times the speed of GigE. A USB3 port is currently found on practically every PC and almost all developer boards. USB 3.0 cameras require less processing power than USB2 cameras, and there are more USB3 cameras available. USB3 is the successor to USB2, which indicates that USB2 is no longer being developed.
